| VIOBIN: For hundreds of years, humans ate diets high in unrefined grains which were rich in unsaturated oils, vegetable fats, and waxes. As our diets grew more processed and refined, many of these substances were removed. As a result of these dietary changes, animal fat began to replace the natural oils and fats found in whole wheat, rye, corn, and millet. Wheat germ is one of the foods highest in unsaturated oil content, as well as a rich source of Vitamin E and protein. In the 1930s a commercial process to extract the oil from wheat germ was developed. Viobin is confident that its products offer consumers an essential, nutritious value missing in many diets. |
