Product Description

Rosemary Essential Oil Aromatherapy and Cosmetic Ingredient, 1 OZ by Heritage Store | 076970832712

Heritage Rosemary Essential Oil Aromatherapy and Cosmetic Ingredient (30 mL)

The fresh, herbaceous aroma of this coastal Mediterranean plant (ours comes from Spain) is revitalizing and uplifting. Traditionally, Rosmarinus officianalis has served as a symbol of fidelity and remembrance for hundreds of years. Regarded as a nervous system and circulatory stimulant, Heritage Rosemary Essential Oil is thought to improve memory, respiration, digestion, and kidney, liver and gall bladder functions. Used on the hair and scalp, Heritage Rosemary Essential Oil becomes a stimulant and conditioner. Added to bath water or body oils, Heritage Rosemary Essential Oil is considered soothing for muscle aches. Dilution is advised, as is avoidance in pregnancy, epilepsy and high blood pressure.

Essential Oils
These pure oils are highly concentrated, and should always be diluted in a pure carrier oil such as sweet almond, jojoba, grapeseed or Aura Glow for topical application. Failure to dilute properly in a suitable carrier oil can lead to skin burns.

Aromatherapy is the ancient practice of using essential oils extracted from plants to soothe imbalances of body, mind, spirit and emotions. In modern times we find that these highly concentrated "plant hormones" can have an effect on our organs, hormones and enzymes, a physiological effect on muscles, joints, and skin, and a psychological effect on elevating mood, sleep patterns, & reducing stress.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy! The very word tantalizes and intrigues. Can health improvements, and attitude adjustments, really be as close at hand as a revitalizing bath oil, a special massage blend, or a subtle fragrance in the air? As more and more experimentors are discovering, the answer is decidedly yes! The ancient art of aromatherapy has been practiced in many parts of the world for thousands of years. Even today, both Eastern and Western religions use fragrance in the form of incense to create a devotional atmosphere, while the marketplace abounds in exotic perfumes promoted for their seductive appeal. On the more factual side, scientific studies are now confirming that essential oils can be used to treat many common complaints. The healing potential of plant essences lies in their power to evoke our deepest memories and emotions. These volatile, highly concentrated aromatic oils are derived from leaves, blossoms, stems, fruit or roots, usually by steam or water distillation. Sometimes known as "plant hormones," they embody the unique flavors, aromas and energy patterns of growing things. When micro particles of essential oils are released into the air or absorbed by the skin, our odor receptors send signals directly to the brain, activating hormonal and even chemical changes. With the right essential oils, we literally begin to feel better. Once you've experimented for yourself, we know you'll agree: aromatherapy simply makes "scents!"
